Window and Door Toppers

The toppers are assembled by Ferche Millwork
to fit your door and window openings. Mix
and match wood species to suit your interior
design theme. The system has been designed
to give you the look of luxury for little more than
the price of a simple cased opening.
The 3/4" thick topper measures approximately
6" tall at ends and, on those with a top arc,
7" in the center. The casing with backband
measures 4" wide. Depending on the
backband style, the sides will allow for a base/
basecap with up to a 3/4" - 1" projection.
With the system, installation is quick. The
finish carpenter simply installs the sides, sets
the top, nails it in place and moves on. Labor
savings and engineered design savings on
the sides makes for an exquisite appearance
at a reasonable cost—a combination that will
please builders as well as homebuyers.
The system gives you the option of mixing various species to bring together other woods
used in the house. For example, the use of a walnut floor and cherry doors can be unified
by using trim containing both species. Or, the use of a single specie can accentuate
the design of the mouldings around an opening in a more subtle fashion. Either way,
the window and door openings make a positive statement regarding the thought and
consideration given to the design of the interior trim package.
